Elclepp, Lena (27 Apr. 1875 - 27 May 1958)

Mrs. Lena Elclepp of Phillips, age 83, died at the Park Falls hospital at 8:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 27. Death was attributed to the effects of severe burns received in an accident at her home three weeks ago. Funeral services were held in Phillips Thursday, May 29, Mr. Andrew Skvarla officiating, and burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Lena Orth was born in Manitowoc April 27, 1875. Her marriage to Matt Ohlinger took place in 1894. Mr. Ohlinger died in 1900. She was married to Charles Elclepp in 1930. He preceded her in death in April, 1937. Prior to moving to Phillips in 1912 the family lived for a time in Dodge county. Mrs. Elclepp was a member of St. Patrick’s church and St. Anne’s Altar society. A son, Ally Ohlinger, preceded her in death in 1947.

Surviving relatives include a son, Theodore Ohlinger of Stevens Point; three daughters, Mrs. Elvina Fields of Park Falls, Mrs. Ray (Viola) O’Keeke of Stevens Point and Mrs. Carl (Rovella) Pruess of Milwaukee; two brothers, Charles Orth of Seattle, Wash., and Conrad Orth of Colby; four sisters, Mrs. Paul Tesmer, Mrs. Ted Steinwand and Mrs. Kate McKinnon of Colby and Mrs. Otto Detjens of Phillips; five grand children and two great grand children.

Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Orth, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tesmer, Mrs. McKinnon, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Orth, Jr., and Norman Orth attended funeral services for Mrs. Lena Elclepp at Phillips last Thursday.
