Krueger, Mary (5 Apr. 1888 - 13 May 1958)

Mrs. Mary Krueger died at the Bethel Convalescent home in Arpin Tuesday, May 13, at 1:50 P.M. at the age of 70 years, a heart attack after a lingering illness being the cause of her death. The body is at the Lulloff Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Zion Lutheran church, Rev. Wm. R. Christian officiating, and internment will be made in the Green Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Krueger, the former Mary Glenzer, was born in Sheboygan on April 5th, 1888, and came to this area with her parents at the age of five years. She married Charles Krueger on May 6, 1917. Her husband, one son, four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Surviving are six children, Mrs. Henry (Edna) Krueger of Abbotsford, Ernest Laabs of Sertile, Minn., Albert Laabs of Owen, Ben Krueger of Colby, Alvin Krueger of Curtiss, Mrs. Herman (Hazel) Gosse of Colby, Wis.

Mrs. Krueger will be remembered for her fine Christian character, her devotion to her family as well as her congenial disposition, always taking her duties pleasantly.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Zion Lutheran church for Mrs. Mary Krueger, Rev. Wm. R. Christian officiating, and internment was made in the Green Grove cemetery. Pall bearers were Ben Laabs, Joe Ackerman, Emil Untiedt, Marvin Lueck, Oscar Erdman and John Burtard. Mrs. Lawrence Priem sang "Asleep in Jesus" and "Heaven is My Home."

Out-of-town relatives here for the funeral were from Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield, Wausau, Rib Lake, Waukesha and neighboring communities.
