Beyer, Nancy Jean (Marriage - 24 October 1970)

Miss Nancy Jean Beyer became the bride of John William Hagedorn in a Saturday evening ceremony at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff preformed the double-ring ceremony before 250 guests.

The bride is the daughter of Walter W. Beyer, Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Hagedorn, rural Neillsville are the parents of the groom.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white crepe, floor-length Empire gown fashioned with a mandarin collar and three-quarter length, belled sleeves. Both the dress and train were trimmed with braid. A bouffant fingertip veil cascaded from a Juliet headpiece. She carried a colonial bouquet of white roses, yellow daisy ‘mums and baby’s breath.

Mrs. Linda Beyer, Neillsville, was matron-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Karen Sue Beyer and Miss Bonnie Hagedorn, both of Neillsville. All were attired in moss green peau de soie, floor-length Empire gowns styled with green lace mandarin collars and three-quarter length, belled sleeves. They wore matching bow headpieces and carried colonial bouquets of bronze and yellow daisy ‘mums with moss green peau streamers.

Bestman was Gorden Beyer. Groomsmen were Jerold Hagedorn and Bruce Hagedorn, brothers of the groom. Gary Beyer, Ken Marg, Mark Tews and Scott Tews served as ushers. All are from Neillsville.

Mrs. Janice Mayer sang “The Wedding Prayer” and “The Lord’s Prayer,” accompanied by Victor Lehmann.

The church was decorated with bouquets of deep-red ‘mums, with baskets of bronze and yellow flowers at the pews. Vases of bronze and yellow ‘mums, were on the altar.
