Kalsow, Lois Ellen (Marriage - 10 October 1970)

Miss Lois Ellen Kalsow of Milwaukee, daughter of Mrs. Wilbert Kalsow of Neillsville, was united in marriage to William Dorn Wilkinson of West Allis, son of Mrs. Carried Wilkinson of Holdrege, Nebr., Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in ceremonies performed in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of 150 guests.

The bride wore a satin empire-waist-styled gown with a standup collar, both accented with pearl and crystal beading. The full back fell into a chapel train and the sleeves flared at the wrist and were accented with narrow beading. She wore a Camelot headpiece trimmed identically with the dress to which was attached a long, silk illusion veil and train. She carried a bouquet of long stemmed white roses accented with pink carnations, as she was escorted to the altar by her mother.

Mrs. Russell (Diana) Wold of Appleton was matron-of-honor and Mrs. Daniel (Linda) Matranga of Whitewater was bridesmaid. Miss Cathy Lisa Wold of Appleton was miniature bridesmaid. They wore identical patchwork skirts of blue, green and lavender jewel crepe, with ivory blouses styled with deep V-neck, and notched collar with long sleeves and wide cuffs. The headpieces were blue, green and lavender floral sprays with attached bubble veils. They carried white spider ’mums, accented with purple status and ribbon streamers matching the dresses.

Gerald Berlage of Sidney, Nebr., was bestman, and Russell Wold of Appleton was groomsman. Tim Wold of Appleton was junior groomsman. John Granberg of McFarland and Daniel Servais of Milwaukee were ushers.

The church was decorated in white gladioli and large ‘mums on the altar, and tiny baskets with white ‘mums and fall leaves on the pews.

Kendall Smith sang, accompanied by James Tank at the organ. A reception was held at Wildcat Inn for 150 guests.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and Prospect Hall secretarial school. She is employed by a Brewing Company in Milwaukee. The groom is a graduate of Holdrege High School and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He also is employed in Milwaukee.
