Ammentorp, Marian #2 (1 MAY 1948)

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Haas, who were married at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, thorp, on May 1, are now honeymooning in South Carolina.

The former Marian M. Ammentorp is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Evald Ammentorp, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.). The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Kasper Haas, Thorp.

The bride’s entrained white satin gown was fashioned with long sleeves which came to points at the wrist. Her fingertip veil, edged in lace, fell from a crown of small orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies.

In the wedding party were the bride’s sisters, Mrs. Amy Ammentorp, maid of honor, and Mrs. Ruth Wolfram, bridesmaid; the bridegroom’s sister, Mrs. Dorothy Butterfield, Thorp, bridesmaid; Kasper Haas Jr., brother of the groom, best man; Roger Wolfram, Madison and Kenneth Butterfield, Thorp, brothers-in-law of the bride and groom, respectively, groomsmen.

Miss Ammentorp wore a blue taffeta gown, a blue net bonnet, and blue gloves. She carried a bouquet of yellow carnations. The bridesmaids were dressed similarly, one in pink and one in yellow. Mrs. Butterfield carried pink carnations and Mrs. Wolfram carried blue carnations.

Dinner was served to the immediate family at the home of the bride’s parents. A reception for 150 guests was held at the Community Hall, Owen.

The bride, a graduate of the Withee High School, took a business course at Eau Claire. Mr. Haas was graduated from the Thorp High School. The couple will reside at Thorp where they are employed by the Blue Moon Food Co.
