Mueller, William (21 Feb. 1937 - 13 Nov. 2008)

WITHEE -- William "Bill" Mueller, 71, Withee, died Nov. 13, 2008, while on vacation in Florida. Funeral services will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee, on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008. Visitation is 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., with services at 4 p.m.

Bill was born Feb. 21, 1937, to Bruno and Alam (Hintz) Mueller of Greenfield. Bill attended Hillcrest and Boys Tech schools in South Milwaukee and worked many years for Barkow Manufacturing Company while living in Stone Bank. Bill met his wife, Joan Tetzlaff, in 1963. They married in 1965 at Our Saviour's Church in Oconomowoc. In 1973, Bill and Joan moved to Curtiss to farm. Bill then started his 35-year journey as a CNA at the Clark County Health Care Center.

Bill was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Withee, a lifetime member of the National Farmers Organization, and Organic Valley Sustainable Farming. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his granddaughters, yard work, gardening and hauling cattle for NFO.

Bill and wife Joan have three children, Susan Mueller (Curtis) O'Quinn of Hovland, Minn., Scott (Dawn) Mueller of Curtiss, Shelly (Wally) Wiese of Pewaukee; and two grandchildren, Casie and Abigail. He is also survived by brothers, Ronald (Arlene) of Fort Meyer, Fla., Richard (Gladys) of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., Robert (Glenda) of Horseshoe Bend, Ark.; and sisters-in-law, Louise Mueller of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., and Diane Mueller of Richfield.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph, Melvin and Harry; and sister Audrey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials for Bill are setup up St. John's Lutheran Church, Indianhead food pantry, and the Clark County Humane Society.
