Gisch, Caroline (17 Dec. 1859 - 5 May 1934)

Mrs. Caroline Gisch, age 74, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. A. Olson at Curtiss, Saturday morning after an illness of several weeks.

Caroline Awe was born in Walkersville, New York, Dec. 17, 1859 and when six years of age moved, with her parents to Chicago. Two years later they moved to Calumet county, Wis., where in 1878 she was married to Fred Gisch. To this union seven children were born.

Mrs. Gisch is survived by four children, Mrs. F. J. Andrews, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Harry Arnett, Abbotsford; Mrs. Leon Ankney, Jim Falls and Mrs. E. A. Olson, Curtiss, with whom she made her home. There are 15 grand children and one sister, Mrs. S. Calbaum, Genoa, Nevada, and two brothers, John Awe, California and Henry Awe, Greenwood.
