Kadolph, Marie B. (14 OCT 1943)

At a 7 o’clock candlelight service Thursday evening, Oct. 14, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church Miss Marie B. Kadolph, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kadolph, became the bride of Marvin W. Seeman, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Seeman. The Rev. J. C. Langholz officiated at the double ring ceremony. The altar was adorned with fall flowers and tapers, and the windows along the aisle were adorned with lighted tapers.

The bride wore a brocaded satin dress, with a sweetheart neckline and fashioned with a long oval train. Her white fingertip veil was caught to a headdress fashioned with seed pearls. The bride carried a bouquet of pink roses and gladiolas. The only jewelry she wore was a three-strand pearl necklace.

The bride’s maid of honor, Miss Jane Smith, wore a pink taffeta gown designed with a sweetheart neckline and carried a bouquet of roses and mums. The bridesmaid, Mrs. Hillus Kadolph, wore aqua taffeta and carried a bouquet of roses and mums. They both wore chains with little gold crosses, gifts of the bride.

The groom was attended by Donald Smith, as the best man, and Hillus Kadolph.

Mrs. William Rottjer and Mrs. Ervin Dux sang "Oh Promise Me," and during the ceremony Mrs. George Jensen played and sang very softly "Largo" from Xerxes, by Handel, as the background.

A reception was held in the church basement at 7:30 for 60 immediate relatives and friends. The basement was decorated in white, pink and aqua. The bride’s three-tier wedding cake was adorned with the center piece used at the marriage of her mother and father.

The bride attended Loyal high school and graduated in 1934. For the past year and a half she had been employed at Picus Cash Store here. The groom is cheesemaker at the Pleasant View Dairy.

A wedding dance was held in the evening at the Silver Dome ballroom, near Neillsville.

Mr. and Mrs. Seeman will be at home to friends after Nov. 1, following a 10 day wedding trip.

The Tribune extends to the newlyweds its wishes for a happy wedded life.
