Columbia (17 September 1970)

The Easter Lilies are again in bloom at the Urban Green Top ranch. The potted plants which had blossomed indoors in the spring were transplanted to the northwest lawn, where they are now in luxuriant flower.

Mr. and Mrs. William Sollberger visited the Urban’s Thursday afternoon.

Jack Frost has not yet touched the area but is expected any clear night now.

Mrs. Lawrence McDonel and her mother of Milwaukee spent from Thursday until Sunday on the McDonel property.

Mrs. Roland Lisko of Milwaukee and her mother, Mrs. Jennie Winter, who spent the summer with relatives in the Granton and Neillsville area, visited Mr. and Mrs. Ward Lockman and Mr. and Mrs. William Sollberger Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Lisko is the former Alice Winter. Mrs. Winter will spend the winter with Mrs. Lisko.

Arthur Christen and Joe Horak of Humbird visited Mr. and Mrs. Ward Lockman Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kolbrak of Altoona spent the weekend at their home here.

Mr. and Mrs. William Sollberger accompanied the Kolbraks to the Black River Falls area Saturday evening, where they toured the Jackson County Iron mining premises.

John Lager and friend of Thorp visited Mr. and Mrs. William Rider Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Sherman of Altoona visited the Rieders Saturday evening.
