Wepfer, Harold W. (9 Jan. 1901 - 29 Apr. 1957)

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 P.M. at the Hansen Funeral Chapel in Marshfield for Harold W. Wepfer, a former Abbotsford garageman. His death occurred suddenly Monday afternoon at his home in Bethesda, Md., where he had been living the past year with his wife and daughter, Maurine. They had previously lived in Florida since he retired from the garage business in 1955 for health reasons.

Mr. Wepfer was born in Marshfield on January 9, 1901, and at an early age moved to Colby and lived here until his marriage to Norma Zahorka in Waukegan, Ill., on May 21, 1929. They lived in Eau Claire before moving to Abbotsford in 1934. Two years later he built the Motor Inn Garage in Abbotsford which he operated until ill health forced him to retire.

Besides his wife and daughter, he leaves a son, Myron of Abbotsford; three grandchildren, Rodney, Duane and Lou Anne Wepfer of Abbotsford; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wepfer of Colby, and three sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Altine) Stoltzman of Marshfield, Mrs. Harold (Maydell) Brockhaus of Colby and Mrs. Delbert (Goldie) Klepzig of Decatur, Ill.
