Krepsky, Callie (14 Oct. 1877 - 27 Apr. 1957)

Mrs. Hugo Krepsky, who had been in ill health the past two years, died Saturday at 1:30 P.M. at the age of 79 years, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital where she had been a patient the past several months. Funeral services were held in St. Mary’s Catholic church Tuesday morning, Rev. John Pinion officiating, and burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Earl White, Angus Lamont, Sr., A. J. Kriplean, Herb Steinwand, I. M. Firnstahl and Nick Gierl.

The former Callie Shafer was born in Beaver Dam on October 14, 1877, and came to Colby with her parents as a small child. She was married here to Hugo Krepsky, a former hardware and farm implement dealer, on December 23, 1903. He preceded her in death in 1941.

Survivors are one son, George, a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Genevieve) Neck, both of Colby, and three grand children. One daughter, Margaret, and one son, Sammy, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Krepsky was a member of the Christian Mothers’ Society of St. Mary’s church and will be remembered by all who knew her for her congenial and friendly disposition who always endeavored to perform her duties honestly and well.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wagner of Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Earl White of Wausau, Mrs. Spencer Wallace of Madison, Mrs. Al Ruffing and Mrs. Kenneth Bruhns of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Felix and son, Tommy, of Berlin, Mrs. Ransom Shestock and Mrs. Henry Esselman of Montello, Mrs. George Reid and Mrs. Esther Peterson of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Al Holtzhausen and Shirley of Abbotsford, Wis.
