Gretzner, Violet D. (10 June 1936)

To the strains of the wedding march from the opera, "Lohengrin," Miss Violet D. Gretzner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Gretzner, town of Beaver, approached the altar of the Evangelical Lutheran church at Loyal on June 10 to be given in marriage by her father to Abler Haselow, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Haselow, town of Sherman. The double ring ceremony was read by the Rev. H. F. Lechensky.

Miss Marie Kadolph presided at the organ "Jesus Be Our Guide" and "I Love You Truly," sung during the 2 o'clock service by Miss Emma Noeldner, Mavis Berg, and Eugene Leschensky. Two flower trellis arrangements with large baskets of flowers before them decorated the church. Paper streamers marked off the pews for relatives.

Miss Gretzner carried an arm bouquet of white roses and carnations. Her dress was fashioned of white satin, and her long veil was caught in cap shape with pearls and orange blossoms. Mrs. Arthur E. Wolfe, the bride's maid of honor, was attired in yellow organdie with yellow rosebuds for her headdress. She carried an arm bouquet of yellow and purple iris, pink carnations, and peonies. Mrs. Wolfe is a sister of the bride.

Miss Helen Weber, Neillsville, as bridesmaid, was gowned in yellow organdie. Her flowers were similar to Mrs. Wolf's. Arthur E. Wolfe, town of Loyal was best man, and Elmer Haselow, groomsman.
