FARMER LADY GORED BY ANGRY BULL

Mrs. Aho, mother of Emil Aho, was seriously injured Wednesday morning when she was gored by a vicious bull, on the farm of her son, seven miles Northeast of this city.

Mrs. Aho had gone out into the pasture where a number of head of young stock were feeding, and a yearling bull made a dash for her. She was knocked down and then rolled about the pasture, and would probably have been killed, but for two men who were touring through the country, who noticed the bull pawing away at this victim.

They notified a neighbor, who went to her rescue. Mrs. Aho had climbed upon a big stump in an effort to get away from the bull, and it is probable that this saved her from instant death.

She was injured about the head, shoulder and legs, having a large gash cut near her eye and another cut on her arm about three inches long, as well as her body being badly bruised. She was given medical attention at once and reports are that she is getting along nicely.

SEEKING OFFICE OF SHERIFF

F.H. Matthias of Curtiss, has an announcement in this paper of his candidacy for sheriff of Clark County, at the primary election to be held in September.

Mr. Matthias has held many public offices in years past, being a member of the county board from the Town of Hoard, at the present time.

He is a man well qualified for the office, has a great many friends who will support him, and we know of no better candidate than him for the office he seeks.
