Lindner, Ruby #2 (28 APR 1903 - 3 AUG 1947)

Mrs. Ruby Lindner passed away at her home at 6 o’clock Sunday morning, Aug. 3, 1947, at the age of 44 years. Mrs. Lindner had been suffering from a serious illness for the past several months, and in May was hospitalized at an Eau Claire hospital, where she underwent a major operation. Upon her return home she was especially active and continued to enjoy her family and friends, and fought admirably to overcome the tiring effects of her illness, by her desire to live and enjoy companionship, instead of resolving herself to the more common characteristics of a patient. Two weeks ago it was necessary that she be admitted to the hospital for observation and treatment, but since returning home about the 21st of July, she had been confined to her bed most of the time, and adhering to a strict diet. But her passing away came suddenly and as a surprise to her close friends.

Mrs. Arthur Lindner, nee Ruby Rye, was born on April 28, 1903, at Colfax, Wis. Here she made her home until a young lady, having attended the Colfax Public school system, and also graduated from the Eau Claire State Teacher’s College at Eau Claire. On Oct. 30, 1929, she was united in marriage to Arthur Lindner at Stillwater, Minn. The couple made their home at Colfax until 1936, at which time they moved to Park Falls, remaining there for two and one-half years, until January 1939, at which time they moved to Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).

She was the mother of two sons, Arlo and Bobby, to whom she was a devoted mother and wife to her husband Arthur, who mourns her loss, as do her mother and two brothers, John of Ridgeland, Wis., and Victor of Colfax, who survive her passing. In addition to being a worker in the establishment and functions of her home, she was an active Christiana and a member of the Owen Eastern Star lodge and the White Shrine of Eau Claire.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 this morning from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin), with the Rev. M. Glick officiating. At two o’clock this afternoon services were conducted from the Methodist Church at Colfax, with the Rev. Fahlstad reading the final rites. Burial will be made in the village cemetery at Colfax.

Pallbearers at the services conducted in Owen this morning were: Julius Sorenson, Manfred Dietrich, Rex Copper, A. M. Wilson, John Potocnik, and L. W. Cattanach.

The sympathy of their many friends go in full measure to her bereaved family as they mourn the loss of a beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister.
