Richardson, Vivian (10 APR 1947)

At eleven o’clock on Thursday, April 10, 1947, in St. Katherine’s Church, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), Miss Vivian Genevieve Richardson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dell R. Richardson of Owen, became the bride of Julius M. McIntire, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. McIntire, Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. K. O. Crosby read the marriage service before members of the immediate families. The bride was attended by Mr. Wm. D. Richardson, her sister-in-law, and the groom by Floyd McIntire, brother of the groom.

The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, who gave her away. She wore a powder blue suit with accessories to match and carried a bridal bouquet of roses and gardenias. Her matron of honor, Mrs. Wm. D. Richardson, wore a beige suit with matching accessories and a shoulder corsage of roses and sweet peas. The bride’s mother attended the ceremony in a black suit with a shoulder corsage of pink and white carnations.

While the guests were gathering, Wm. D. Richardson, brother of the bride, played a violin solo, "Thias," by Massenet, accompanied by Sidney Toraason at the organ. The traditional wedding march from Lohengrin was played as the bride entered the church, and Mendelssohn’s wedding march at the close. During the ceremony, Miss Rachel Halverson sang "O Perfect Love."

Following the wedding a luncheon was served at the Woodland Hotel.

The bride is a graduate of the Owen High School and at the time of her marriage was employed as secretary to the Director of Procurement for the Western Condensing Co.

The groom is a graduate of the Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, and obtained his doctorate (PH. D.) at the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of Sigma Xi, Phi Lambda, and Gamma Alpha. Mr. McIntire is employed as chemist in the research Laboratory for the Western Condensing Co. in Appleton.

Guests from away attending the ceremony were: Mr. and Mrs. Floyd McIntire, Waukegan, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Sutter and family of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. D. Richardson, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Richardson and daughter of Menomonie.

After a short wedding trip to Chicago, the bridal couple will be at home at 320 Main St., Neenah.
