Campbell, Irlene L.

Madison—Irlene L. Campbell, age 93, died on Wednesday, April 1, 1992, following a brief illness. She lived in Madison with her daughter for the past nine years.

She was born on October 18, 1898, in Thorpe, Wisconsin, Clark County, to George B. and Isabelle M. (Salisbury) Parkhill. She graduated from Abbotsford High School and attended the University of Minnesota. She retired from the Mendota Mental Health Institute in 1962. She married Herbert E. Lawson in 1928, who preceded her in death in 1962. She later married Leslie M. Lamkins, who preceded her in death; and Arthur J. Campbell, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, the Order of Eastern Star, Clintonville Chapter 27, and VFW Ladies Auxilliary # 1318.

She is survived by a daughter, Loa M. (Vernon) Barnica of Madison; a granddaughter, Kea M. Barnica of Madison; a grandson, David R. (Romona) Barnica of Madison; and seven great-grandchildren, Katherine, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Johnathon, Josephine, Nathaniel, and Christian.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Ephraim (Hazel) Sinkler; and a brother, Oakley L. Parkhill. Graveside services wil be held at FOREST HILL CEMETERY, 1 Speedway Road, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 1992. The Reverend John J. Fetterman, from Grace Episcopal Church, will officiate.
