Little, Constance A. (4 December 1940 - 24 September 2008)

Constance A. Little, age 67, of Thorp, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.

She was born December 4, 1940, in the Town of Colburn, the daughter of Robert and Henrietta (Geist) Smith.

She married Roger Little on February 27, 1960 at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church, Eau Claire. After marriage, she and her husband went to Germany while he was in the service. They traveled to Switzerland, Italy, and France. They then returned to Wisconsin, moved to California, back to Wisconsin, and then to Pennsylvania. They eventually retired in Thorp, raising six children along the way.

Connie had worked at a shoe factory in Pennsylvania.

She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. She was a lovely wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her husband, Roger; two sons: Patrick Robert and Michael Ross Little, both of Eau Claire; three daughters: Cheryl Renee (Darwin) Evans of Boyd, Michele Rae Mikottis of Fairchild, and Melissa Rhea (Clyde) Jarocki of Thorp; three brothers: Gregory (Ann) Smith of Deforest, Jeffrey (Pam) Smith of Eau Claire, and Jon (Sue) Smith of Eau Claire; two sisters: LaVonne (Seymour) Larson and Ginger (Marv) Hong, both of Osseo; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way, due on Connie’s birthday.

She is preceded in death by one son, Brian Little; her parents; and one brother, Jason Smith.

Funeral services were held at 12 noon on Monday, September 29, 2008, at Holy Ghost Church, Chippewa Falls. Interment was in Estella Cemetery, Town of Estella.

Friends called from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 28, and until 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There was a Christian Vigil Service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
