Whitney, Lillian Chase (13 January 1913 - 11 September 1949)

Lillian Chase Whitney, 37, of Santa Monica, California, died on Sunday morning at a Santa Monica hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at a funeral home in Santa Monica. She will then be taken to a crematory and her ashes returned here at a later date for burial in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Lillian Chase was born on January 13, 1913, to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Chase at Neillsville. She was graduated from the Neillsville High School and took nurses training at Grandview Hospital at La Crosse. She became a registered nurse in 1933. Five years ago she moved to California and worked at her profession until her death.

Surviving are one daughter, Roxana Maria Whitney of Santa Monica and the following brothers and sisters: Arthur Chase of Oshkosh, Lyman Chase, Neillsville, Ina Chase of Santa Monica, Fanny Chase, Howard Chase, Roy Chase, Joseph Chase, Mrs. Otto (Muriel) Kutchera, Mrs. Milo (Leona) Mabie, all of Neillsville; Clarence Chase of Chicago; Elmer Chase of Darby, Montana; one half-brother, Harry Chase of Green Lake, Wis.

One half-sister Mrs. Harold (Blanch) Dunbar of Prescott preceded her in death, also her mother in 1942 and her father in 1932.
