A daughter, Rachel Lynn Nieman, was born Aug. 28, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital to Jenny and Rich Nieman of Unity. She joins siblings Rudy, Leah and Lydia. Grandparents are Bill and Marsha Martens, and Pete and Jean Mellenthin, all of Spencer.
