Funeral services for August Noah, 94, were held Wednesday afternoon from the West Side Evangelical and Reformed Church in Greenwood. Burial was made in the West Side Cemetery. He died Sunday at his home, seven miles northwest of Greenwood. Death was due to old age.

Mr. Noah was born August 20, 1854, in Germany. He was 13 years old when he came to the United Sates and settled with his parents in Sheboygan. In 1874 he came to Greenwood, and on April 10, 1884, he married Louisa Kotzer.

He was a charter member of the West Side Evangelical and Reformed Church and helped build the first church which was organized 75 years ago.

Two children survive. They are Mrs. Arthur (Laura) Humke and Alfred, both of Greenwood. He also leaves four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Noah died on December 19, 1944.
