Stockmeyer, Josie (19 Mar. 1889 - 6 Oct. 1956)

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the First Ev. and Reformed church in Colby, Wisconsin for Mrs. Ernest Stockmeyer who died of a heart attack at her home, three-fourths of a mile north of Curtiss, Saturday at the age of 67 years. Rev. V. O. Grosshuesch officiated and burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Mrs. Stockmeyer, the former Josie Moser, was born in Austria on March 19, 1889, and moved to Milwaukee in her youth. She married Ernest Stockmeyer there 47 years ago, and in 1911, the couple moved to Curtiss.

Surviving are her husband; three children, Clarence of La Crosse, Mrs. Justin (Elsie) Gray of Colby, Mrs. Adolph (Edna) Bartell of Milwaukee; a brother in Milwaukee; four grand children. Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ernest Stockmeyer were conducted October 11 at the First Ev. and Reformed church, Rev. V. O. Grosshuesch officiating, and burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Fred Hahn, Clarence Geary, Edwin Krause, Ervin Koerner, Neal Green and Alfred Thompson.
