Ferguson, Annie Louise (15 January 1873 - 3 August 1948)

Annie Louise Ferguson, 75, of Levis Township, died at her home at 5:00 p.m. August 3, 1948. Funeral services were held Friday, August 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cole Funeral Home. The Rev. A. G. Parfitt was officiating clergyman. Burial took place in the Grant Cemetery.

Mrs. Ferguson was born Annie Louise Wallace, the daughter of Isaac and Martha Wallace, in Crawford County, Wis., on January 15, 1873. She became a resident of Clark County shortly after her marriage, in 1894, in Sugar Grove, to Samuel Ferguson, and lived in the county from that time on. Her husband, Samuel, survives her, as do five of their eight children. The surviving children are: Mrs. James (Lula) Johnson of Appleton; Mrs. Nellie Lewis of Appleton; Mrs. Louis (Ellen) Myllenbeck of Rush City, Minn.; Fred Ferguson of Neillsville; and Esther Ferguson, at home.

One brother, Steven Wallace, of Black River Falls, and three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Marshall of Kent, Wash.; Mrs. Bessie Salmon of Soldiers Grove and Mrs. John (Esther) Ferguson of Owosso, Mich., also survive.

Pallbearers were: Thomas Winters, Ed Short, Ralph Short, James Short, Frank Short and George Cramer.

Those who came from out of town to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Johanknecht of Waupaca; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ferguson of La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Salmon, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Salmon and Mrs. Jap Davenport, all of Soldiers’ Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Sig Thompson of Viroqua; Mr. Stephen Wallace and daughter, Lena and family, of Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. James Johnson and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Gwyn Johnson and son, Mr. and Mrs. Sheridan Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Johnson, Mrs. Nellie Lewis and Mr. Robert Lewis, all of Appleton; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mathews of Wisconsin Dells; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Qualley and Mr. and Mrs. Gib Bender and family, all of Granton.
