Simpson, Fred #2 (4 FEB 1869 - 7 SEP 1905)

Fred Simpson died Thursday, Sept. 7th, 1905, of tuberculosis, at the Kurth home, and was buried Sunday with Workman Lodge ceremonies, Rev. Campbell speaking. His faithful wife brought him home last week from Fresno, Calif., it being his wish to die at Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.). On the distressful journey he had three serious sinking spells and in one was thought to have passed away. When this city was reached Mrs. Simpson herself collapsed from the strain, but was able to attend him and was with aid able to attend the funeral.

For many years deceased was a clerk in the Bruley, Kerns & Marshall, Johnson gents furnishings store here, and was married to Bertha Kurth, moving to Fresno a few years ago for benefit of his failing health. He was a pleasant, companionable young man and there is universal regret that the white plague had claimed him as its victim. His life was insured in the lodge for $1000.
