*Soossen, Anna #2 (25 AUG 1905)

On Friday there occurred at the German Lutheran Church (Pine Valley, Clark Co., Wis.) a very pretty wedding, at which Miss Anna Soosen was united in marriage to Mr. Oscar Beyer, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Beyer. There were about one hundred relatives and friends in attendance to witness the ceremony which took place at 11 o’clock a.m. and was performed by Rev. Hass. Miss Bertha Beyer and Ida Dux acted as bridesmaids and Alfred Marth and Theodore Linster as best men. The wedding march was from Lohengrin and was rendered with excellent expression. The bride was gowned in blue silk and the bridesmaids wore white and the best men the customary black. After the ceremony and congratulations a wedding dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Beyer. There was a fine array of costly, useful, and beautiful presents to bespeak the esteem in which this young couple is held. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Soosen, Miss Ida Priebe, and Henry Bauman, all of Wausau; Miss Ida Suckey and Ferdinand Bauman of Merrill, and Mr. Carl Bouman of Edgar, attended. The bride and groom will begin housekeeping at once on the Carl Knoop farm (Pine Valley). The young husband is a man of industry, energy, and high character. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Soosen of Wausau and comes to us very highly spoken of. Both have a host of friends and the Times joins in wishing them a prosperous and happy life.
