Price, W. H. (Sarah) 20 December 1883 - 9 March 1948)

Mrs. Sarah Price, 64, died Tuesday morning at her farm home in the Town of Hewett after an illness of two years. Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock this afternoon, at the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Floyd A. Fahlgren, pastor of the Methodist Church, will officiate at the services here.

On Friday the body will be taken to Plover, Ia. And services will be held there Saturday at the Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Politan Cemetery at Plover, Iowa.

Sarah Loughead, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Loughead, was born December 20, 1883, in southern Wisconsin. She received her education in Iowa and taught school there 15 years. On March 15, 1916, she was married to W. H. Price, who, with their two sons, survives. The sons are William, at home, and Charles of Clinton, Wis.

After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Price lived in Iowa for 14 years, and in 1930 moved to Clark County, where they have since resided. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors Lodge.

Four brothers and three sisters survive. The brothers are: William Loughead of Abbotsford; Fred and Thomas Loughead of Unity; and John Loughead of Whitewater. The sisters are: Nell, Mrs. Lyle Fuller of Wausau; Ida, Mrs. Raymond Cook of Marathon; and Mrs. Mary Peden of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Price Funeral

Among those from away who were here last Thursday to attend funeral services for Mrs. W. H. Price were: Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cosgrove, and Rodney cook, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Cosgrove, Mr. and Mrs. Lin Nickel, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Loughead and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Loughead, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. T. Loughead and Tommy Loughead, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gardner, and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Foelske, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Cook and Warren Cook, Marathon; Mrs. Mayme Peden and Mrs. Charles Engler, Milwaukee; and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fuller, Lyle Fuller, Jr. and Margie Fuller, Wausau.

Charles Price of Clinton was here for his mother’s funeral and accompanied his father and brother, William, to Plover, Iowa for the burial. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Georgas accompanied the family to Iowa and returned to Neillsville on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. John Loughead of Whitewater, Wis. attended the services in Iowa.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at Plover, conducted by Rev. L. G. Gartner, pastor of the church.

Pallbearers were: James Anderson, Roy C. Stokes, Clarence and William Shaveland, Harold Wright and Ted Ridenour. Music consisted of two songs, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Good Night and Good morning" sung by a quartet made up of Mrs. George Arnold, Mrs. Glen Forsythe, J. H. Bucher and O. E. Lehmus. A solo, "Sunrise" was sung by Mrs. LaVonne Shaveland.
