Zank, Leona (Marriage - 16 July 1946)

Miss Leona Zank, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Zank of the Town of Pine Valley, and M/Sgt. Gerald Janke, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Janke, Neillsville, were married July 16 in the First Christian Church at Madisonville, KY. The Rev. Layce officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride’s ensemble was a rose colored street length dress with white accessories. Her flowers were a corsage of pink roses.

Sgt. and Mrs. Janke both received their education in the local schools. Before her marriage Mrs. Janke was employed at the Jos. Weidenhoff, Inc. Sgt. Janke served five years in the army, leaving Neillsville in 1940 with the Service Company. After his discharge last year he re-enlisted, and is now stationed at Fort Benning, GA.
