Severson, Julia (27 JAN 1882 - 26 MAR 1947)

Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Tragsdorf Severson, 65, of Milwaukee, were held March 28 at the Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.). The Rev. William A. Baumann, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, conducted the service. Burial took place in the Neillsville Cemetery. Services had also been conducted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mrs. Severson died suddenly March 26, 1947, at the home of her nephew, Harold Walk, in Milwaukee, where she had resided the past seven years.

The daughter of the late Julius and Julia Tragsdorf, she was born Jan. 27, 1882, in Neillsville, where she lived until about 15 years ago.

Surviving are three sisters and two brothers: Bertha, Mrs. Frank Hemp, and Emma, Mrs. John Walk, Neillsville; a twin sister, Mollie, Mrs. Paul Krause, Milwaukee; William A. Campman, Neillsville, and Frank Tragsdorf, Crandon.

Pallbearers for the Neillsville services were: Henry Naedler, Claude Westphal, Paul Blum, William Duge, Paul Bartel, Sr., and Albert Marg. Mrs. William A. Baumann sang two songs, accompanied at the piano by Paul Bartell, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Hepburn and Mrs. George Zimmerman were in charge of the flowers.

Those from out of town here for the services were: Mrs. Mollie Krause, Harold Walk and Miss Theodora Hemp, Milwaukee; Frank Tragsdorf, Crandon; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Zillmer and son, Duane, Greenwood; Gertrude Walk, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hemp and family, Berlin; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hemp and family, Wis. Rapids; Mrs. William Lemke and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Severson, Wausau.
