Ott, Louise A. (28 DEC 1946)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Louis A. Ott, Neillsville, and Francis W. Kipp, Marshfield. The parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. George Keller of Neillsville, and the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kipp of Marshfield. The double ring ceremony was read at a 9 o’clock mass by the Rev. John Pritzl.

The bride chose for her marriage a gown of white with a blouse of white satin and a yoke of white net. The sleeves were long and ruffles fell over her wrists. The skirt was of net. Her veil was held in place with an orange blossom tiara. Pink and white carnations were her flowers and her only jewelry was a string of pearls, a gift of the groom.

Miss Betty Kipp, sister of the groom, was the maid of honor. Her gown was styled as the bride’s except that it was a pastel blue. The bridesmaids were Miss Ruth Kutsche, a friend of the bride, and Miss Leana Ott, Milwaukee, sister of the bride. The groom was attended by Henry Ott of Loyal, brother of the bride. The ushers were Edward Rychnovsky, Neillsville, friend of the bride and groom, and Harold Ploem, Marshfield, cousin of the groom.

A reception for about 25 guests was held at the home of the bride’s parents. The house was decorated with blue, white, pink and green streamers, and a large white bell hung over the bridal table on which was a large three-tier wedding cake with a miniature bride and groom as decorations.

Mrs. Kipp was graduated from the Neillsville High School with the class of 1942. She was employed in the office of County Judge O. W. Schoengarth. On July 1, 1943, she was appointed the register of probate. Mr. Kipp was graduated from the Marshfield High School Class of 1942, and was employed before entering the service, at the shoe factory in that city. He served with the army air corps in the Pacific Theater, and received his discharge Dec. 8, 1945. He is presently employed at the Modern Electric Company, Marshfield. The bride and groom will be at home to their friends after Jan. 1, at 1210 East Fourth St., Marshfield.

Relatives and friends who were here to attend the wedding were: Mrs. Alfred Kipp and daughter, Marion, mother and sister of the groom, of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Kipp and daughter, Rebecca, of Eau Claire, (Mr. Kipp is a brother of the groom); Henry Ott, , brother of the bride, and his wife, Loyal; Harold Ploem, cousin of the groom, Marshfield; Betty Kipp, sister of the groom, Marshfield; Leana Ott, sister of the bride, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Meske and daughter, Diane, and Clifton Craft, Marshfield, friends of the bride and groom.
