Anderegg, Marvin E. (4 MAY 1928 - 12 JUN 2008)

Marvin Edwin Anderegg, 80, Loyal, died on Thursday, June 12, 2008, in New London. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, June 17, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Christie. The Rev. Daniel Cole officiated. Burial was in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kurt Bauer, Bob Anderegg, Jack Anderegg, Lee Kuechenmeister, Monte Kuechenmeister and Frank Pries.

Marvin Edwin Anderegg was born on May 4, 1928, in the town of York, to Edwin and Susie (nee Krasselt) Anderegg. He attended Pleasant View Country School and then farmed with his family in the town of York. He worked at Marshfield Homes and the Chevy plant in Janesville from 1958-60. On Aug. 6, 1960, he married Dorothy Ackerman at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville. They farmed and raised their family in the town of York, retiring in 1998. He greatly enjoyed playing cards in Loyal, Granton and Neillsville. He loved the Wheel of Fortune, dairy breakfasts, traveling time with his family, and a good cigar. He was a member and had served on the council of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Christie, and was a longtime member of the National Farmers Organization in Clark County.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Dorothy, Loyal; his son Clay Anderegg, Loyal; his daughters, Fay Newton, West Palm Beach, Fla., Carol (Dale) Strigel. North Palm Beach, Fla., Cheryl Anderegg, Loyal, and Lois (Gerald) McCann, West Palm Beach, Fla.; one grandson, Adam Newton, West Palm Beach, Fla.; and his sister, Marlene (Gary) Kuechenmeister, Neillsville.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
