Cannonville

The Ladies’ Aid meets today at the home of Mrs. Robert Volz because Mrs. Bernard Kuhn was taken suddenly ill and taken to the hospital. The date is December 21.

A large crown attended the Welcome club at Mrs. Elmer Kapfer’s last Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Chris Feutz did business in Neillsville last Wednesday and called on the Darrel Raine family.

Harry Kissling recently purchased some mink from Bob Wagner of Neillsville. Ernest Kissling plans to raise a colony.

Hugo Martin sawed wood for Mr. Shirerman with the help of Harry Owens, William Tullis, Roland Sharrat and Christ Feutz Saturday afternoon. Mr. Shirerman is going to Madison for medical aid.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Millar of Madison spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Owens.

Frank Scholtz is living with his sister, Mrs. William Tullis, this winter.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Owens entertained the 500 club Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. William Buddinger received high score and Mr. and Mrs. Lindquist received low, while John Zdun received traveler’s prize.

The Tullis family and Frank Scholtz were dinner guests Sunday of the Albert Galls in Sherwood.

Mrs. Hazel Galbreath had her Christmas tree and program Tuesday evening instead of Wednesday as planned.

Darrell Hohenstein was taken suddenly with acute appendicitis and was operated on in the Neillsville hospital last Thursday morning.

Mrs. William Buddinger returned home from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Friday. Her sister, Mrs. Turner of Neillsville, was there over the weekend assisting with the house work.

The William Zank family of Pine Valley visited at the Albert Zank home recently.

Mr. and Mrs. Blackman of Pleasant Ridge visited the William Tullis family Thursday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Spiegel helped their son Edgar and wife paper one evening last week. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Spiegel will move into their house in Neillsville soon.

Mr. and Mrs. Kaper called at the Gallbreath and Chapel home and helped them prepare for**Rest Cut off.**
