Huberty, Linda (Marriage - 30 June 1945)

A very pretty wedding took place at the Lutheran parsonage at Thorp when Miss Linda Huberty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Huberty, became the bride of Bernard Buss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Buss, on Saturday afternoon, June 30, at 1:30 o’clock, Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating.

The bride was attired in a white net gown over taffeta and a finger tip veil. She carried a bouquet of white carnations, pink roses and baby breath. Miss Verona Huberty, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Edith Strovers and Miss Helen Gorsenger, cousin of the groom. Attendants of the groom were Albert Huberty, brother of the bride, and Earl Vetterkind.

A reception was held at 6:30 for the immediate relatives at the home of the bride’s parents. A dance and shower was held at the Mile-a-way pavilion. They received many beautiful and useful gifts.
