Our Boys With the Colors

Lawrence G. Kuester of the Greenwood community splintered a bone in his stump at Percy Jones hospital, and is undergoing further surgical treatment. Returning from a show in the hospital theater, he hit a small wooden door stop with his crutch and fell heavily. The fall broke open the incision at the end of his stump, and caused heavy loss of blood. When operating to repair the damage, the surgeon found that there had been a pocket of pus in the stump, which was due to make trouble, except as exposed through this accident. S/Sgt. Kuester has recently received a visit from Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Ketchpaw of Greenwood, his wife’s parents, and his little daughter, Patty.
