Walkama, Mary M. (3 NOV 1945)

Miss Mary Mathilda Walkama, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eino Walkama of the Town of Hoard (Clark Co., Wis.), and Edwin Zowal of Withee, were united in marriage Saturday, Nov. 3, 1945, at two o’clock in the afternoon by Rev. B.M. Fresenborg, pastor of the Reform Church at Greenwood (Clark Co.).

The bride wore a white satin and lace dress with a fingertip veil and a string of white pearls, and a shoulder corsage of red roses.

Miss Myrtle Williams, a cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid, and her dress was of aqua net over lace and matching headdress, and she wore a string of pearls, matching those of the bride. Her corsage was of red roses.

The groom was attended by Arnold Baum of the U.S. Navy.

Following the ceremony a dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents, to about forty relatives. The home decorations were in pink, blue and white streamers.

The young couple will make their home with the groom’s parents near Withee.
