Price Genevieve (13 OCT 1945)

The Sacred Heart Church of Withee was the scene Saturday, the 13th of October, 1945, when Miss Genevieve Price, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Price, became the bride of 1st Lt. Marvin Thorson, Army Air Force, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thorson of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.). Father Francis Brockman officiated.

The bride’s dress was fashioned with elegant softness of radiantly lustrous satin, white orchid appliquéd designed basque bodice, full flowing skirt with a long train. A heart shaped crown held her fingertip veil. She carried a single white orchid with streamers, and a prayer book.

Preceding the bride to the Chancel were Genevieve Duller, Chicago, as maid of honor, Maxine Thorson, Withee, and Mrs. Geraldine Biel of Chicago, as bridesmaids who wore charming white brocade satin gowns and net blushers, their bouquets were red roses.

Lt. George Miller, Mt. Morris, Ill., was best man, Lt. Irvin L. Hansen, Withee, the usher. All wore Army Air force uniforms.

A reception was held at the P.N.A. hall at Thorp.

Out of town guests attending were Mrs. Carol Zietlow, Pfc. And Mrs. Ed Linconski, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bienick, Stanley Bienick of St. Paul; Miss Linda Vettorel, Chicago; Miss Barbara Keleker, Miss Susan Cox of Chicago; Mrs. Carol Repiogle, Waupaca; Mrs. Franz Heilin of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Al Thorson and family of Kenosha, Margaret and Gloria Thorson, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thorson of Colby, and Lt. and Mrs. George Miller of Mt. Morris, Ill.
