Porath, Alfred P. (23 FEB 1893 - 19 JUN 1945)

Alfred Paul Porath, residing south of the city of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital, Tuesday, June 19, 1945, at which place he was taken the day before for medical treatment.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Porath and was born Feb. 23, 1893, at Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.). He was 52 years of age.

On June 21, 1924 he was united in marriage to Miss Jennie Salo and to this union two sons were born, Norman, 19, and Edwin, 17. He served in the first World War. His mother preceded him in death, passing away Sept. 29, 1929, and one brother Ernest, died Dec. 13, 1931.

Besides his wife and two sons he leaves to mourn, his father, Albert Porath, Granton, one brother, Henry, also of Granton, and three sisters, Mrs. Fred (Agnes) Handt, Beloit; Mrs. Ed (Emma) Wischulke, and Mrs. Lyle (Norma) Fero, Granton.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at the home at 1:00 o’clock and at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Withee at 2:00 o’clock, with the Rev. Schedler officiating. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
