Sutte, Duane (25 NOV 1937 - 22 MAY 2008)

Duane "Foxy" Sutte, 70, Loyal, died on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 2 pm., on Tuesday, May 27, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal. The Rev. Wendell Williams officiated. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Mohrland, Delbert Vertz, Jim Noah, T. J. Sutte, Robert Knight and Edward Raatz.

George Duane Sutte was born on Nov. 25, 1937, in the town of Schley, Lincoln County (rural Gleason), to George and Hertha (nee Pagel) Sutte. He was raised on the family farm and received his education in the Gleason area. He worked most of his life as a farmhand. He married Patsy Raatz on Oct. 14, 1978, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity. They moved to Loyal in 1990. He also worked as a logger for Stichert’s in Chili. He had many interests including woodworking, building birdhouses, gardening, deer hunting, and visiting with his friends, Jim and Alda Noah.

Survivors include his wife, Parsy, Loyal; three brothers, Arlo (Cindy) Sutte, Antigo, Fred Anderson, Antigo, and Dennis (Joan) Sutte, Antigo; and two sisters, Joan Mohrland, Janesville, and Ila (Delbert) Vertz, Bryant.
