Hoeser, Norbert F. #2 (28 OCT 1935 - 29 APR 2008)

Norbert F. Hoeser, 72, Marshfield, formerly of Neillsville, died on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, in the Palliative Care Unit of Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. The Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, May 3, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville. The celebrant was The Rev. Woodrow H. Pace. Interment was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Norbert Francis Hoeser was born on Oct. 28, 1935, in the town of Grant, to Frank and Rozinia (nee Ziglinski) Hoeser. He attended Washington School in the town of Grant and then worked on the family farm and helped on the neighboring farms. He married Germaine "Gerri" Handrick on May 18, 1963, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield. They raised four children in the Neillsville area, while he worked for many years at the Weyerhaeuser Door Company, Marshfield. He retired in 1991 due to ill health. They moved to Marshfield in 1996.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville. He was an avid fan of only one NFL team, the Green Bay Packers. He loved listening to country music, and gardening, and he enjoyed playing cards, fishing and warm weather. He was looking forward to spring. However, most important to him, the light of his life were his grandchildren, his family and his faith.

Survivors include his wife, Germaine "Gerri"; three sons, Greg "Purple" (Deann) Hoeser and their children, Nicole, Kaitlin and Olivia, Loyal, David (Lisa) Hoeser, Stevens Point, And Larry (Cindy) Hoeser and their children Margaret and Andrew, Neillsville; one daughter, Karen (Joe) Zastrow and their children, Elizabeth and Theresa, West Concord; two brothers, Donald (Jean) Hoeser, Marshfield, and Phil (Penny) Hoeser, Winona, Minn.; three sisters, Gerrie Schultz, Neillsville, Jeanette (Buck) Spencer, Marshfield, and Julie (Chuck) Krostag, Hobart, Ind.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents and grandparents.

The family would like to thank the North Ridge Dialysis Center and the staff for the touching care they gave over the years, especially Dr. Campbell.

The Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
