Rogus, Jacob (Apr 1872 - 13 NOV 1946)

Jacob Rogus, 74, passed away at the Chippewa Falls hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1946. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mr. Rogus, a retired farmer, who has made his home in the village (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) for the past ten years, was born in Poland in April 1872. He was united in marriage to Helen Jarosz in Chicago, Ill., on July 7, 1908.

Surviving are his widow and two daughters, Mrs. Sophie Mikolainis of Withee, and Mrs. Victoria Skrzenta of Chicago; one brother, Anton of St. Paul, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Wnek of Chicago; four grandchildren, Donald and Jolanta Mikolainis, and Joan and James Skrzenta.

Funeral services were conducted by Father Jerome Kamla at St. Hedwig’s Church on Saturday, Nov. 16, with interment following in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were: Walter Pajak, Ig. Przybylski, Ed Przybylski, Victor Lobacz, Jacob Niedzwicki and Jos. Kaminski.
