Lesniewski, Leona (22? SEP 1946)

A pretty wedding took place at St. Hedwig’s Church, when Leona Lesniewski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Lesniewski, and James Possley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Possley, exchanged vows at ten o’clock mass.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a lace bodice gown with a chiffon skirt and a fingertip veil which was held in place by a beaded crown. For her bouquet she carried baby mums.

Her maid of honor, Helen Bauer, wore a white embroidered taffeta gown with a white net Juliet cap as the headpiece.

The bridesmaids, Miss Margaret Neiman and Mrs. Al Gralewski, wore pink embroidered taffeta gowns with pink net Juliet caps. The girls wore a string of pearls, gift of the bride. For their bouquets they carried pink and lavender asters.

The groom’s attendants were Frank Lesniewski and Donald Possley. The groom and his attendants wore tuxedos.

The bride’s mother was dressed in a navy blue and the groom’s mother in a black suit. They both wore corsages of roses.

A reception was held in the evening for all the guests at the P.N.A. Hall.

The happy couple will make their home in Thorp. The groom is employed at the Farmer’s Store.
