He is survived by five children, namely - Daniel at Madison; John, Chili; Joseph at home, Barbara, Mrs. Harry Cattanach, Nekoosa; Mary, Mrs. Arthur Hohenstein, Vesper; also seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Hefty celebrated their fifty-eighth wedding anniversary January 15, 1945, the occasion also being Mrs. Hefty’s birthday.

Pallbearers were three sons and three grandsons, namely - Joseph, Daniel and John Hefty, and Gerald Cattanach, Milfred Cattanach and Floyd Hohenstein. Flower bearers were two granddaughters, Mrs. Mildred Wunrow and Mrs. Louise Stoneberg and one great granddaughter, Lilas Stoneburg.
