Cihlar, Mabel (14 Sept. 1909 - 14 Jan. 1945)

Mrs. Mabel Bremer Cihlar, aged 35 years, died at her home at 3111 Pillsbury Ave., S. Minneapolis, at 7:35 in the evening, Sunday, January 14, 1945. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, January 17, in Minneapolis and burial took place in Crystal Lake cemetery. She will be remembered for her kindness and thoughtfulness of others, and was always patient and smiling, even through nine years of illness from a chronic heart ailment. The past five months she had been critically ill.

Mabel Bremer, daughter of Fred and Clara Bremer, was born September 14, 1909, in the town of Weston, the family moving to Neillsville after the death of her father about 23 years ago. After her marriage to James Cihlar they lived for a short time in Oshkosh and later in Neillsville, moving from here to Minneapolis.

She is survived by her husband and three children, James, Jr., 14, Marlene, 13, and Ronald, 9; also her mother, who has been living with her the past few months, and the following sisters and brothers: Hazel, Mrs. Earl Schultz, and Marion, Mrs. Wayne Bush, both of Neillsville; Zelma, Mrs. Harold Mouw, Chicago; Howard Bremer, St. Paul; Sgt. Bud Bremer, now in the Philippines. Mrs. Schultz was with her at the time of death.

Earl Schultz and children, Bettijane, Robert and Joan, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bush went to Minneapolis for the funeral services.
