Wanda D. Decker

Wanda D. Decker, 78, of Colby, Wisconsin died Saturday, May 17, 2008.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Abbotsford, Wis. The Rev. Kenneth A. Dix will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in the town of Colby, Wis.

Visitations are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday. The Colby VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 2227 will hold a service at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Wanda was born Oct. 23, 1929, to James and Emma (Robey) Gregory in Poteau, Okla. She married Clarence Decker July 6, 1945, in Fort Smith Ark. The couple farmed in Colby and Wanda also worked at the Abbey Café in Abbotsford as a waitress.

Wanda was a past president and past treasurer of the Colby VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 2227. She is survived by her husband Clarence, her son James (Danijela) Decker of Colby, and grandchildren Lukas and Emma of Colby, Wis.
