Rogalski, Nettie G. (29 JUN 1946)

On June 29th, 1946, St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church was the scene of a very lovely wedding, when Nettie G. Rogalski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rogalski, became the bride of Francis J. Frysiek, son of Mrs. Mary Frysiek of Philadelphia, Pa., at a Solemn Nuptial Mass performed by Rev. J. Piekarski, assisted by Rev. R. Rucki and Chester Moczarny. The double ring ceremony took place before an altar decorated with palms and white peonies.

The bride entered the church on the arm of her father carrying a white Mother of Pearl prayer book, a gift of the groom, covered with white roses and gardenias from which hung white satin streamers which hung white satin streamers tied with orange blossoms. The bride was attired in a beautiful gown of Italian Ecru de lace, with a satin fitted bodice and long pointed sleeves, inserted lace yoke, and a full skirt ending in a long train. Her long flowing veil of net edged with wide lace was held in place by the traditional orange blossom tiara.

The bride, assisted by her sister acting as first bridesmaid, carried a beautiful bouquet of white gladioli to the altar of the Blessed Virgin.

The bridesmaids, Clara Rogalski, sister of the bride, Eleanore and Caroline Rogalski, cousins of the bride, wore gowns of brocaded baby blue satin with Juliet caps to match. They also wore long white gloves and carried bouquets of yellow tea roses and white stephanotis, tied with large baby blue satin bows.

The groom was attended by his brother, Michael Frysiek, as best man, Henry Rogalski, brother of the bride, and Anthony Svzurek, friend of the groom. The groom and his attendants wore tuxedos with carnation boutonnieres.

Dianne Rogalski, niece of the bride, and Walter Topieniak, nephew of the groom, acting as ring bearers, carried a white satin pillow with lace inserts and white satin streamers.

The bride’s mother chose to wear navy blue with white accessories, while the groom’s mother chose aqua with white accessories. Each wore a corsage of pink tea roses and baby breath.

A wedding breakfast to the immediate family followed the ceremony. At six o’clock a reception was held for the many friends and relatives at the P.N.A. Hall, which was beautifully decorated with blue and white streamers and wedding bells.

The bride and groom, both being recently discharged, have served with the U.S. Marine Corps. After a wedding trip to Chicago and New York, they will reside in Philadelphia, Pa., where the groom is employed with U.S. Civil Service.

Out of town guests attending the wedding were: Mrs. Mary Frysiek, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Skaziak, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Topieniak and son, Michael Frysiek and Anthony Sczurek, of Philadelphia, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rogalski and daughters Dianne and Carol Ann, Mrs. Frank Rogalski and daughters Caroline and Loretta, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rogalski and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Dziediec and family, Mrs. Adam Piekarcz and daughter, Angeline, all of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. J.E.
