Miss Elmire Junchen has taken up her duties as supervising teacher of Clark County, succeeding Eugene W. Laurent, recently appointed county superintendent. Miss Junchen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Junchen, who reside in the town of Washburn. After finishing the rural school in her home town, she attended Neillsville High School, and later Central State Teachers’ College at Stevens Point. She had ten years’ teaching experience, all in this county, four years in the rural schools, two years in the state graded school at Eaton Center, and the past four years in the Owen grade school.
Miss Junchen attended the state University this summer. She completed there a special elementary course, and prepared a project in arithmetic for the Clark County schools, under the direction of Mrs. Lois Nemek of the state department of public instruction.
A successor to Miss Ada Smith has not as yet been appointed.
