Stanton, Joyce Elaine (Marriage - 19 June 1944)

Announcement is made of the marriage of Joyce Elaine Stanton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joy Stanton, and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stanton of Neillsville to George Gail Richardson of Winatchee, Wash.

The marriage service was read on the evening of June 19, by the Rev. Victor McKee in the parsonage of the First Baptist Church of Albany, Cal. The bride chose as her wedding day the anniversary of her mother, and the late Mrs. Lloyd Parks of Marshfield, Wis.

Miss Stanton was attired in a white wool suit with black accessories. Her corsage was of gardenias and roses.

The sole attendants were Miss Joan Stanton, sister of the bride, and her finance, Enas Stout. Miss Stanton wore a green suit with black accessories and a corsage similar to that of the bride.

Mrs. Richardson attended the public schools of Marshfield and Neillsville and was graduated from the Neillsville High School with the class of 1941, and from the Central State Teachers’ College in Stevens Point, Wis. She taught during the past year in the Silver Crest School, Pine Valley, Clark County.

The groom is a graduate of Winatchee High School, Winatchee, Wash., and is at present a member of the U. S. Navy.

Mr. and Mrs. Richardson will make their home for a time in Richmond, Cal.
