Van Loo, Anton (9 APR 1862 - 31 MAY 1946)

Anton Van Loo, a resident of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) for many years, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bertha Warns at Clark (Withee, Wis.), on Friday, May 31st, 1946, of old age infirmities. He had reached the age of 84 years, 1 month and 22 days.

Mr. Van Loo was born in Hollandtown, Wis., on April 9th, 1862. He was united in marriage to Harriet Van Abel at Green Bay, on Sept. 24, 1888. To this union was born five children, Lawrence of Thorp, Mrs. Elsie Colby of Wis. Dells, Wis., Mrs. Fred Warns, Withee and Miss Marie Van Loo of Milwaukee; and Edward, who died Sept. 20, 1928. Mrs. Van Loo passed away Jan. 1, 1922.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Church on Tuesday morning and interment took place in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were: W.A. Wilhelm, Art Soderberg, Louis Henke, Anton Baldeschwiler, George J. Schmidt and Geo. Haas.
