Fisher, Charles August (1 Feb, 1884 - 17 June 1944)
Charles August Fisher, 60, passed away June 17, at the Neillsville hospital, following an illness of several months. He was born February 1, 1884, in Manitowoc County, where he lived until 1914, when he, with his mother, Mrs. Bertha Fisher, and a sister, Miss Elsie Fisher, bought a farm a mile west of Chili. The mother died August 20, 1936. Three years ago Charles and Elsie sold their farm and moved to Chili.
Funeral services were held at the Emanuel Evangelical Church here Tuesday. Rev. S. A. Gutknecht officiated. The remains were taken to Manitowoc County with burial in the family lot at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Fisher is survived by a sister, Miss Elsie Fisher, Chili, and a half sister, Mrs. Henry Strehlew, Brillion.
Flower girls were: Mary Ellen Haslow, Ruby and Audrey Nelson and Genave Steffen.
Pallbearers were: Alvin Voelker, Fred Emiling, Phelps Spry, William Happe, Erwin Haslow and Herman Montag.
