Vornholt, Augusta (? - 17 May 1944)

Mrs. Augusta Vornholt, wife of the Rev. Edwin H. Vornholt of Sussex, Wis., died on Wednesday, May 17, at the home of her son, The Rev. Ezra Vornholt of West Bend. She was 74 years of age, and had been ill about two months.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, Sussex, of which her husband is pastor, and at 2 p.m., at Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church in the town of Herman, Sheboygan County. Burial took place in the Herman Church Cemetery.

Rev. and Mrs. E. H. Vornholt resided in Neillsville from about 1927 until 1934, while he was the pastor of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church here. They have many friends in this community who will mourn the passing on this fine woman. During her residence here, she was active in the work of the Inter-Church Mission Study Club, and in the W. C. T. U.

Surviving besides his husband and son, Ezra; are four other sons: Mark, Neillsville; Walter, Milwaukee, Rev. Paul, Chicago; and Nelson, Redondo Beach, Calif. There are six grandchildren. Mark Vornholt was at Sussex for his mother’s funeral, returning to Neillsville Tuesday morning.
