Millus, Mathew (21 SEP 1872 - 22 JAN 1946)
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at 9:30 o’clock, Friday morning for Mathew Millus, who passed away at the Legault Hospital at Owen, Clark Co., Wis., of a heart attack on Jan. 22, 1946. He had reached the age of seventy-two years.
Mathew John Millus was born in Europe on Sept. 21, 1872. He was united in marriage to Frances Okonski on June 2, 1903 at Collinsville, Ill. He came to Thorp on June 8, 1916 and settled with his family on a farm in the Town of Butler where he resided until death.
Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, Melvin M. Millus of Withee, Wis., two daughters, Alvina Millus of Minneapolis and Mrs. Mike Jankowski of Stanley.
He was laid to rest in St. Bernard’s, and the following acted as pallbearers: L.P. Walsdorf, J. Morgan, George Haas, Robert Haas, Anton Baldeschwiler and Gilbert Voelker.
