Delmer Carlson enjoyed a week’s vacation from his duties as a field man for the Carnation Condensary at Hillsboro, Wis., last week and visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Carlson.

Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Ewert, Town of Unity, entertained Mr. and Mrs. Louis Klein of Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Carlson at dinner Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Myron Ewert left Saturday for their home in Coreapolis, Pennsylvania.

Friday, 07/04/1947

Mrs. Glen Misener and Mrs. Forrest Johnson came home from the St. Joseph’s Hospital Friday with their new sons.

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Ewert and sons, Ida Ewert, Wm. and Frank Siegrist were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hebert Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Johnson, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mandel attended a meeting of the Oliver Implement Dealers at Madeline Island near Superior last Sunday.

Friday 10/17/1947

Forrest Johnson has torn down the porches which were on the east and west side of his dwelling, sided it up, and is having the house painted white. Frank Colby and son are doing the work. For the benefit of readers who are away, this building in years past was known as Hotel Nelson. It has not been remodeled and now consists of three pleasant apartments.
